A hands-on workshop on human stem cell-derived, functional 3D brain organoids & assembloids

This one week-long practical course will provide training to 20 participants in all aspects of 3D in vitro study of neural development and disease modeling.
Topics include: human stem cell maintenance, generation and assembly of 3D brain-region specific cultures, quality controls, assay implementations (viral infection, genetic engineering, functional imaging, electrophysiology, etc). The course will take place in new Stanford Neurosciences Building. |

Applications:
Eligibility: scientists outside of Stanford University; trainees (graduate students and postdoctoral fellows) and labs with no experience in this research area will be given priority. Deadline for the 2020 workshop has passed. The course attendees will be announced in early October, 2019.
